The Search Agency’s State of Paid Search Report summarizes current paid search marketing trends across search engines and devices. All results are based on U.S. campaigns only. Our findings and forecasts are based on year-over-year (YoY) and quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) analyses on aggregated client data.
Here are some of our key findings:
The first quarter of 2014 experienced solid YoY growth: Total spend increased 35%, impressions grew 19%, CTR grew 9.5%, and CPC grew 4.6%.
Spend on Bing grew 60% YoY, more than double the 29% increase of spend on Google.
All three device platforms – desktop, tablet, and smartphone – grew in spend, impressions, and clicks YoY.
Mobile search – including tablets and smartphones – now accounts for 28% of all impressions.
